Manistee County currently has an opening for the full-time position of Property Description Specialist/GIS Technician in the Manistee County Equalization Department. Candidates must possess a high school diploma with course work in math, data processing and some abilities in computerized mapping and GIS application. One year of experience in data processing including the use of BS&A, database, word processing, and spreadsheets. Experience in GIS computerized mappings and applications. MCAO Certification from the State Assessor's Board or the ability and desire to train for MCAO Certification in the second or third year of employment. The salary range is $15.93 per hour to $20.71 per hour.

Qualifications: Associates degree in engineering technology, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Proficient in AutoCAD, ESRI/Futura GIS, surveying, and Microsoft Office.
