IMAGIN is proud to announce that it's annual Student Poster & Paper Competition is returning for 2017. The competition is scheduled for Thursday, April 6, 2017 and will be located at Lansing Community College - West Campus in Lansing, Michigan.
IMAGIN, Michigan's geospatial professional society, is accepting submissions for its 2017 Poster and Paper Competition. This competition is open to all enrolled Michigan college and university students studying or otherwise working with GIS, GNSS (GPS), and related technologies. This competition gives students the opportunity to gain professional experience, recognition, cash awards and other prizes. The top finalists from the graduate category will be invited to and recognized at the 2017 IMAGIN Conference in Traverse City, Michigan.
Graduate Level Paper Competition
Papers must focus on the application of GIS, GNSS (GPS), or related technologies and must be limited to a maximum of 4000 words of text. Submittal of thesis or dissertation research is encouraged. Paper competition participants must present their work to be eligible for scholarships. Authors of the top three (3) papers will be invited to present their papers at the 2017 IMAGIN Conference.
1st Place: $1,000 & 2017 IMAGIN Conference Registration
Undergraduate Level Poster Competition
Posters must focus on the application of GIS, GNSS (GPS), or related technologies. Posters must be based upon original work and completed as an undergraduate. Submittal of projects done for class is encouraged. All posters will be displayed at the 2017 IMAGIN Conference in Traverse City.
$1,000 purse available for poster competition participants
